Episode 54 - Be a Tiger Roaming the Jungle or an Eagle Soaring the Skies

It's a beast of an episode this week as Dags, Elio and Dave talk you through 3 matches across the league and FA Cup that encapsulated the whole spectrum of Spursyness. From our failure against Villa at home to a welcome 4-0 thrashing of Palace and us securing our spot in the next round of the cup via Portsmouth - Spurs are back to winning ways and they will need to be with the upcoming visit of league-leading Arsenal inching closer.

Of course we talk in depth about those scumbags down the road and their title credentials - Dave eats some humble pie, Elio claims not to care about them, we stumble into an unplanned combined XI discussion and pick our team for the match itself.

There's a rather unique, but brilliantly entertaining, edition of Challenge Elio to cap things off as well. Hope you all enjoy and fingers crossed we have something good to talk about next week.

Episode 53 - Theatre of Your Dreams

Spurs are back, the Premier League is back and Spurs have well and truly picked up exactly where they left off before the World Cup, redefining 'Spursy' in the proverbial game of two halves. Once again we found ourselves 2-0 down and having to make amends for a poor first half showing, this time against Brentford, only to conveniently remember how to play football as the game progressed.

Sadly it was only enough for a point as our grip on the top 4 chase starts to loosen ever so slightly. With the fixtures piling up we also look ahead to three upcoming games - Villa, Palace and Portsmouth in the cup.

Episode 52 - Romerry Xmas you Filthy Animals

Spurs are back! Well, mostly they are anyway - some, like Cuti, are probably partying in Buenos Aires somewhere and may not be seen for some time.

We look back on an exciting World Cup and a Hollywood final that involved 2 of our boys, including a newly-crowned world champion. Back to back World Cups you say? You'll never sing that, Arsenal!

Join us as we analyse the impact of our various representatives in Qatar and what shape we expect them all to arrive back in. We also have a quick browse through the freshly-inflated post-tournament transfer window before previewing our Boxing Day clash with Brentford.

Episode 51 - How Sh*t Must You Be? We Scored by Half Time

Spurs v Leeds did not disappoint (well, except for disappointing Dave) - we all called a goal fest last week and this week, on our final episode before the World Cup in Qatar, we get to talk through 7 goals from the weekend's El Davico.

Dave graciously accepts his defeat by telling us, one by one, why each of our goals were lucky/undeserved due to refereeing bias, fortunate deflections and assaults on goalkeepers.

Finally we wrap things up with a breakdown of all the Spurs representatives at the upcoming World Cup, what we can expect from their teams and their roles within those teams, and make a few general World Cup 2022 predictions.

Episode 50 - Elio Vs Dave III

Episode 49 - Uruguay of the Tiger

We love football again!

Indeed, all it took to cure our Spurs blues was a mere half an hour of competent football to come from behind against relegation-candidates, Bournemouth, with Rodrigo Bentancur emerging as the most fitting of match-winning heroes after a string of excellent outings shining brightly in a sea of mediocrity.

Leeds beating our next opponents, Liverpool, in their own back yard, certainly didn't harm the overall studio mood this week as all 3 Plus Davers had dramatic wins to enthuse over (they do say you'll never walk alone).

Dave gives us the inside scoop on how to beat Liverpool as we look ahead to that crunch tie as well as a huge do-or-die clash with Marseille in our final CL group stage match.

Episode 48 - VAR-Souls

A little later than usual - this week's episode feels more like a therapy session than a podcast as Elio, without the calming presence of Dave, experiences the full sprectrum of the 5 stages of grief, after one of the toughest weeks for Spurs fans in some time.

The recording starts mere minutes after the stunning VAR U-turn on our winner against Sporting that should have seen us through to the knockouts of the Champions League - as we are introduced to Elio on the precipice of denial and anger.

After this anger spearheads a thorough inquest, addressing several underperforming players across the 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford, the 2-1 home loss to Newcastle and the agonising end to the CL match, Elio longs for the days of Pochettino, Redknapp and Jol, or simply for a more entertaining life as a Spurs fan in exchange for lower league finishes, as the bargaining stage begins to take hold.

Finally, through the wave of depression, he arrives at a nihilistic acceptance that this is just the Spurs way and this is what we have signed up to - doomed to an inevitable lifetime of Spursyness.

Episode 47 - Fat Frank’s Frankfurters

We'll whisper it, but Tottenham keep on winning! Sandwiched between a couple of very disciplined and almost routine victories to nil in the league, we had a somewhat wild match with Frankfurt, almost reminiscent of classic Spurs but thankfully one we managed to see out, taking us top of our CL group with our league form leaving us within touching distance of the scumbags at the top.

This week we talk about Frankfurt and Everton before previewing 2 upcoming league games in Man Utd and Newcastle and we engage in an extended discussion around Harry Kane's alleged diving and the state of the game and the VARs that officiate it.

Episode 46 - Players You Don’t Have to Google

Spurs are back to winning ways! Join a streamlined lineup of self-proclaimed world's greatest pundit, Elio and newly established Twitter celebrity, Dags, as they discuss a 0-0 at Frankfurt before looking ahead to the home return as well as a very important and impressive 1-0 victory away at Brighton.

As always, the team takes a snapshot of the season and does its weekly assessment of our standing in the table and of how Spurs are playing. We also look ahead to a home match against an Everton side on less-than-awful form, despite allegedly not having had a manager for the better part of a year.

All this, plus a tribute to 10 years of Captain Hugo, Dags' viral tweet, rumours of stadium naming, and a special XI, just for fun, to round things off.

Episode 45 - Seeing Red

Defeat at the Emirates - our impressive unbeaten run in the league finally falls to the worst possible opponents. Dags, Dave and Elio perform the autopsy this week on a tough defeat to take at the hands of the scum who remain top of the table thanks to 3 goals and a questionable red card as we all pull on our sky blue Haaland shirts and pray for our new lord and saviour to ensure they don't stay there too long.

We go into great detail dissecting the blow-by-blow of the first NLD of the season and where it went wrong for us and what we can learn heading into the rest of the season. There's also the usual look ahead to the games against Frankfurt and high-flying Brighton.
