Episode 24 - Elio Vs Dave II: El Dávico

It's a blockbuster episode this week as the team gets a taste of the big time, recording from a brand new state-of-the-art podcast studio in London to mark a monster date on the Plus Dave calendar. After a 4-0 thumping of Leeds United, Dave, aided by a few pints of Guinness, reluctantly joins the rest to try and work out how much of that result was down to Spurs' brilliance and how much was Leeds' rubbishness.

We also have a rather poignant discussion about Bielsa's legacy at Leeds in what proved to be the final few hours of El Loco's tenure as manager and look back on the slightly less spectacular Spurs match against Burnley and ahead to our next two fixtures briefly - Middlesbrough in the FA Cup and Everton in the League.

As a special treat this week, join us as we try to agree upon a combined Spurs and Leeds XI from across the Premier League era with the caveat that we must have at least 5 from either team.

And finally, the moment you've all (we're sure) been waiting for - the long-awaited rematch of Elio Vs Dave. In a slight twist on the regular Challenge Elio shenanigans, Elio and Dave face off once again in a head to head orchestrated by Joe, with a match-up intensified by the drama of the last contest between the two - will this one go right down to the wire too? Episode 23 - Man City’s Bogey Team

Order is restored and Dags is back on the mic to host a huge episode of the Plus Dave this week as the team joyfully recounts our best result of the season since... well since we beat Man City on the opening weekend!

Come and hear us singing the praises of our very own Harry Kane (after routinely bashing him for the best part of 22 episodes) following a masterful display against his would-be Summer suitors in a massive Spurs win which keeps us in touching distance of that all-important 4th spot and also throws a large spanner in the works of Man City's title charge.

Before we next record we also have crucial games to come against Burnley as well as none other than Leeds United, setting up a mouth-watering episode next week with Dave along for the ride so we look ahead to those ties this week.

Challenge Elio sees a brand new question format put to the teams this week as Dags continues to scrape the barrel for fresh ideas to keep you all entertained. We hope you all enjoy this even half as much as that last minute header from Harry!

Episode 22 - The Elio Show

With regular host Dags sidelined with an epic bout of man flu having briefly suspended his ability to speak, Elio shows his versatility by stepping into the hosting chair this week, jumping in at the deep end for a busy episode as he is joined by show regulars Dave and Joe.

With 3 games to look back on this week including an FA cup triumph over Brighton and two disappointing league defeats (making it 3 in a row), Elio has his work cut out keeping a professional, 'hostly' lid on his usual array of emotions and expletives.

In an uncharacteristically serious discussion, the team also tackles the ever-present 'Y-word' debate and tries to take a look at both sides of the argument in light of the club's recent recommendations on chants at our ground.

Finally, for a second week running Elio takes the helm at Challenge Elio with a short but sweet edition of the Who Am I game in what might be his finest moment so far - don't miss this one!

Episode 21 - In Podcast Terms, I am the Special One

The transfer window has slammed shut - this week we record in the final few hours of the January window discussing a few incoming and outgoing players and taking a look forward to how a new-look Spurs could shape up for the rest of the season and assess the window as a whole. This, of course, includes a heartfelt farewell to Dele Alli after 7 mixed years with the club (and a slightly less heartfelt one to some others).

The stats are back in force this week as the team takes a deep dive into what new signings Kulusevski and Bentancur could add to Conte's Tottenham.

With a few games to look ahead to we take our customary glance at the table and our top 4 credentials before Challenge Elio ends things off with a twist! Stick around to the end for a nice surprise.

Episode 20 - Cheese and Bergwijn

There is rarely a dull moment with Spurs as Dave can attest to as he reaches his 20th straight episode of being dragged into our bizarre little world. Join us for our thoughts and reactions in the first recording since that truly epic finish to the match at the King Power Stadium as we discuss Bergwijn's heroics before begrudgingly dragging ourselves back down to Earth to talk about the defeat to Chelsea.

We have our usual transfer round-up amidst some fresh rumours in what will be our last podcast before the window shuts and we also take a little look back on some other dramatic last minute finishes and famous Spurs comebacks over the years.

Joe returns for another week along with Plus Dave stalwarts Elio and Dave himself and this week's Challenge Elio sees a new record broken.

Episode 19 - Puskases and Postponements

While Arsenal are running and hiding, too afraid to take on the mighty Spurs for North London superiority, we crack on like the true professionals we are and give you all your weekly Tottenham fix.

Also on this week's show, we look back at a fairly dismal exit at the hands of that other horrible team, which sees our cup dreams go out the window and we look ahead to a chance at revenge in the league shortly after our next league game against Leicester.

With Erik Lamela making it 2 for 2 for Spurs in Puskas award winners for the best goal of the year, we take the opportunity to discuss our favourite ever Spurs goals, each giving Dave a top 3 to whittle down into his definitive top 5. We even discover Big Mike's favourite ever Spurs goal in the process!

Other regular features return of course - challenge Elio goes on for way too long, Elio puts the bleep machine to work and Joe comes seamlessly back into the starting lineup like he never even left.

Episode 18 - Clint Sidi Yaya Dempsey

We're back and we're surrounded by huge games! After being bailed out by our big boys off the bench, Spurs have stumbled into the next round of the FA Cup, overcoming Morac... erm, Morecambe and we find ourselves sandwiched by London derbies with cup ties against Chelsea to look back on and ahead to and of course an upcoming crucial NLD to whet your appetites for the season to come.

With this in mind we take a closer look at Mikel Arteta's young Arsenal side and discuss whether they could be the real deal and if this could be the season they regain the ascendancy in North London.

Elio makes it 2 for 2 in football mispronunciation faux-pas as Challenge Elio gets tense in a Dave v Elio head-to-head finale of the 'Who Am I' game.

Episode 17 - More-a-Comb

Two matches to look back on this week and a huge one to look ahead to as the Spurs go marching on, making it 8 unbeaten in the league under Conte. Join us as Joe makes a return to our lineup and we take a look at the Southampton and Watford games and once again assess our top 4 credentials with over half the season played.

Our next game is of course a huge cup clash with rivals Chelsea - a team for which we have made no secret of our contempt as a group in recent weeks. We take a look back at some of the good and bad memories from this match-up in years gone by and preview the first leg coming up on Wednesday and discuss how we can get one foot in the final... and maybe just one step closer to our first trophy in over a decade.

Elio proves as formidable as ever in Challenge Elio this week but shows that he might just have one glaring gap in his football knowledge after all!

Episode 16 - Moura Xmas Everybody

We hope you all enjoyed your festive feasts of food and football over the last week - this of course included 2 Spurs wins which you shall hear us discuss in our usual excruciating detail in this week's episode (note that we actually recorded before the Southampton game but it didn't stop us having a go at reviewing it blindly).

This week, as well as our routine adoration of Oliver Skipp, we throw in a healthy dose of Lucas Moura love after the Brazilian really stepped up his game in the last two matches following on from his earlier wondergoal, stirred in with a healthy dose of Steven Bergwijn appreciation.

Speaking of wondergoals, this week we take a little look back over the year 2021 through our Lilywhite-tinted specs to discuss our favourite goals as well as favourite matches and moments of 2021 as well as our player of the calendar year.

Episode 15 - And a C*ckwomble in a Pear Tree

We're back! After a brief hiatus with all our games having been cancelled, the Plus Davers return with a bang to sneak in the last episode before Christmas. The festive spirit is flowing this week (figuratively and literally) and the show quickly descends into carnage with the bleep machine really being put to the test as Dave, Dags and Elio struggle to maintain any semblance of decorum.

The only thing wilder than this podcast is the match we look back on and discuss - trying to make heads or tails of a spectacular end-to-end home draw with Liverpool that had nearly everything from goals to missed chances to sendings off and multiple penalty claims.

Join us once again for a jolly good, unfiltered chat about Spurs Liverpool as well as another round of 'Challenge Elio', all topped off with a fast-deteriorating standard of professionalism and major shots fired at certain Sky Sports pundits and certain rival London clubs.
